18.01.2016 - 20.01.2016 WORKSHOP: Creating a Moving Image - playing with the camera By Elissa de Brito
What do you see? “I imagined a world without memory, without time; I toyed with the possibility of a language that had no nouns, a language of impersonal verbs or indeclinable adjectives. In these reflections many days went by, and with the days, years. Until one morning, something very much like joy occurred—the sky rained slow, strong rain.” (BORGES, Jorge Luis) In a world of memories and constant perceptions, I would like to invite you to reflect on how we see our reality and how we can portray it. Basic concepts about the image and its frame composition will be presented, followed by an exercise on how to use our daily camera: the smartphone. Let’s work on translating our perceptions to audiovisual products, and above all, let’s play and discover new ways of working with the devices already familiar to us. All we need is flowing ideas. 18.01., 19.01. and 20.01.2016 | 4 - 6 pm
